DEAR PARENTS: Thank you for your interest in the KARATE Kids program. In any classroom, how a child is taught is just as important as, what they are taught. KARATE Kids provides children a fun and safe environment for the study of karate. Research has shown that the harsh teaching methods commonly associated with traditional martial arts schools are counter-productive and can lead to aggressive behavior in children. KARATE Kids differs from these other martial arts schools, because we emphasize individual achievement instead of competition. The curriculum of KARATE Kids continues to promote the physical benefits of traditional martial arts, such as self-defense and fitness; however, we place a much stronger emphasis on the non-physical benefits, such as Honor, Discipline and Respect.
